We’re happy to report that Midori Takada – Through The Looking Glass arrived this past weekend, and it looks/sounds great. If you’ve pre-ordered, we’ll be working on getting your orders out over the next week! We’re thrilled to be able to share it with you – and are looking forward to some interviews/features with Ms. Takada over the coming week.
Palto Flats is also excited to take part in the ‘Come Together – Music Festival and Label Market’ this coming Sunday, March 26 in NYC co-sponsored by Other Music & Moma PS1. It will feature performances, panel discussions, films, workshops, and of course lots of records! We’ll have copies of the Midori Takada LP minty fresh for sale – if you haven’t bought a copy yet, you can get em direct here. We’ll also have some other goodies, including some new Palto totes and all other in stock Palto Flats and affiliated releases, as well as a small selection of used records from Palto Flats’ label guy’s collection. Great stuff guaranteed – you won’t leave empty-handed 🙂
Details for the fair are here (please note the fair itself is free – the workshops, events and more are ticketed): http://momaps1.org/sundaysessions/come-together-music-festival-and-label-market/
Sunday may also be one of your only chances to pick up the limited vinyl-only compilation put out by Vinyl Factory in conjunction with the fair, which Georgia (whose record All Kind Music came out in November) happily contributed to – their exclusive track ‘OJ Clary’ leads off the comp(!) and it also features great artists/labels contributing tracks released on vinyl for the first time, including Visible Cloaks/RVNG, Eric Copeland/DFA, Mary Lattimore/Ghostly International, M.E.S.H./PAN, and more. Copies will be available at the fair on Sunday, and are limited. Of course, all the labels included on the compilation will also have booths at the fair. (label art above)

We hope to see you if you’re in town! Come by and say hello. And thanks for keeping up –
